SeaKlear PhosKlear 4000 90265SKR is a concentrated thirty-two ounce liquid phosphate remover engineered to help restore clear, balanced pool water by eliminating elevated phosphate levels that contribute to algae growth. Formulated with a powerful lanthanum-based blend, it binds phosphates quickly and allows them to be captured in the filter without excessive clouding when applied correctly. This treatment supports stronger sanitizer efficiency, making it easier to maintain stable water quality during routine service or when addressing sudden phosphate spikes. Safe for all surface types and compatible with chlorine, saltwater, mineral, and UV systems, the 90265SKR can be added directly to the pool for fast, reliable results. Its potent concentration delivers meaningful reductions in phosphate levels with minimal product use.
-
High-Potency Phosphate Removal: Rapidly reduces elevated phosphate levels to help lower algae growth pressure and stabilize overall water balance.
-
Lanthanum-Driven Action: Utilizes a proven lanthanum formula that binds phosphates for efficient filtration without causing heavy clouding when dosed properly.
-
Improved Clarity and Sanitizer Output: By removing phosphates, this treatment helps the sanitizer perform more effectively, enhancing water clarity and reducing organic load.
-
System and Surface Safe: Works in chlorine, saltwater, mineral, and UV systems and is compatible with plaster, vinyl, and fiberglass pool surfaces.
-
Thirty-Two Ounce Solution: Concentrated bottle size provides strong performance for both regular maintenance use and sudden phosphate spikes.
Treatment Dose:
Use the dosage chart below to determine how much SeaKlear PhosKlear 4000 to add based on your pool size and current phosphate level. For example, a 10,000 gallon pool with 1,000 ppb of phosphates should be treated with 8 oz of product.
Dosage Chart
| Phosphate Level (ppb) | 5,000 Gallon Pool | 10,000 Gallon Pool |
|---|---|---|
| 250 | 1 oz | 2 oz |
| 500 | 2 oz | 2 oz |
| 1,000 | 4 oz | 8 oz |
| 2,000 | 8 oz | 16 oz |
| 4,000 | 16 oz | 32 oz |
Initial Phosphate Treatment:
Clean or backwash the filter before starting. Use the chart above to measure the correct amount of product. Pour the PhosKlear 4000 evenly across the pool surface. If the water is still cloudy after 24 hours, apply SeaKlear Chitosan Clarifier at 2 oz per 5,000 gallons. Run the filtration system continuously for at least 24 hours. If the filter pressure rises 10 psi above normal, clean or backwash the filter. After 48 hours, test phosphate levels with a swimming pool phosphate test kit and reapply product if needed.
Weekly Dose:
Add 2 oz of SeaKlear PhosKlear 4000 per 10,000 gallons weekly to help maintain low phosphate levels and keep the water clear.
Important:
Temporary cloudiness is normal while phosphates are being removed. The water may stay hazy for up to 24 hours depending on phosphate levels and filtration performance. Swimming should be avoided until the water clears. If desired, use SeaKlear Chitosan Clarifier at 2 oz per 5,000 gallons to speed up water clarity.

Determining Pool Needs, Dosage Accuracy & Product Fit
PhosKlear 4000 is a lanthanum-based remover formulated for both residential and commercial pools. These answers help customers ensure they are selecting the correct strength for their needs.
Is PhosKlear 4000 strong enough for high-phosphate conditions commonly found in local pools?
Yes, the formula is designed for heavy phosphate loads from landscaping runoff, fertilizers, and organic debris common in many regional backyards.
How do I determine how much product to use?
Dosage depends on your phosphate test results and pool volume. WPM staff can assist with calculations when you call or visit.
Will the product work with local water chemistry conditions?
Yes — PhosKlear 4000 is compatible with the chlorine, salt, and mineral systems typically installed in regional pools.
Application, Filter Loading & Water Clarity Expectations
These questions explain what happens after dosing.
Will this product increase my filter load?
Yes, as phosphates bind, they form particles that must be captured by your filter. Backwashing or rinsing your system after treatment is recommended.
How quickly will clarity improve?
Most pools clear within 24–48 hours depending on phosphate concentration and filter efficiency.
Does the product cause staining or residue?
No — when applied correctly, lanthanum-based removers do not stain surfaces. Any temporary cloudiness is normal and will filter out.
Local Stock Checks, Route Planning & Maintenance Frequency
These answers help customers coordinate with nearby Wholesale Pool Mart locations.
How can I check local availability for 90265SKR?
Call your nearest WPM location with the SKU to compare inventory across nearby stores.
How often should phosphate remover be used?
Most pools benefit from monthly or seasonal maintenance doses, depending on debris load and phosphate readings.
Should service technicians keep this on hand?
Yes — many route technicians carry PhosKlear 4000 because it addresses one of the most common underlying causes of algae blooms.
