SeaKlear 90336SKR Phosphate Remover is a commercial-grade one-gallon treatment formulated to reduce severe phosphate levels that weaken sanitizers and promote algae growth in residential and commercial pools. Its lanthanum-based blend is capable of removing up to nine thousand ppb of orthophosphates per ten thousand gallons in a single dose, making it suitable for contamination from fertilizer runoff, increased bather load, or heavy salt-system operation. Once levels are reduced, routine maintenance requires only one ounce per five thousand gallons to help maintain phosphate readings under one hundred twenty-five ppb. Compatible with all pool surfaces and sanitizer systems, the 90336SKR supports cleaner water, enhanced sanitizer efficiency, and more stable overall system performance. This high-capacity bottle provides ample volume for large pools or frequent service cycles.
-
High-Strength Phosphate Reduction: Removes up to nine thousand ppb of phosphates in ten thousand gallons, helping correct severe contamination quickly.
-
Simple Maintenance Dosing: After initial reduction, only one ounce per five thousand gallons is needed to keep phosphate levels stable and prevent algae resurgence.
-
Improves Water and System Clarity: Reduces nutrient load that clouds water and drains sanitizer strength, contributing to cleaner water and fewer algae issues.
-
Safe Across All Pool Types: Compatible with chlorine, salt, mineral, and UV systems and suitable for plaster, vinyl, and fiberglass pool finishes.
-
Large One-Gallon Volume: Ideal for big pools or service professionals who require consistent, high-capacity treatment for multiple accounts.
Initial Treatment for High Phosphate Levels
Start by cleaning or backwashing your filter. Use the dosage chart below to determine how much product to add. Pour the Phosphate Remover evenly across the pool surface instead of concentrating it in one area. Keep the filtration system running continuously for at least 24 hours. If the filter pressure rises more than 10 psi above its normal level, clean or backwash the filter again. After 48 hours, test with a pool-approved phosphate test kit and apply another dose if needed.
Weekly Maintenance
Use 1 ounce of Phosphate Remover per 5,000 gallons of water each week to help keep phosphate levels below 125 ppb.
Dosage Guide
| Phosphate Level (ppb) | 5,000 Gallon Pool | 10,000 Gallon Pool |
|---|---|---|
| 250 | ½ oz | 1 oz |
| 500 | 1 oz | 2 oz |
| 1,000 | 2 oz | 4 oz |

| 9,000 | 16 oz | 32 oz |
Important Notes
Some cloudiness is normal during treatment—this means the product is binding and removing phosphates. The water may remain hazy for up to 48 hours depending on phosphate levels and filter performance. Swimming should be avoided until the water clears. If needed, you can speed up the process by using SeaKlear Chitosan Clarifier at 2 oz per 5,000 gallons.
This FAQ assists customers comparing local pricing and inventory for SeaKlear 90336SKR. It covers large-pool dosage, regional water conditions, commercial-grade strength, and how it performs for service technicians who maintain multiple pools.
Product Strength, High-Phosphate Conditions & Pool Size Matching
The 1-gallon 90336SKR formula is ideal for large pools or route work. These questions help confirm proper selection for local installations.
Is the 90336SKR gallon size recommended for regional pools with heavy debris or fertilizer exposure?
Yes — many local environments produce high phosphate levels from landscaping or seasonal storms, making the gallon size the best fit.
How much phosphate can this product remove at once?
It can eliminate up to 9,000 ppb in 10,000 gallons, giving technicians the capacity to handle severe spikes efficiently.
Is it suitable for both residential and commercial pools?
Yes — this concentration is widely used in commercial facilities, community pools, and large backyard pools.
Application Method, Filter Load & Clarity Expectations
These questions help explain the filtration and clarity effects after treatment.
Will this product increase filter loading?
Yes, phosphate removal produces particulates that the filter captures. Expect to backwash or rinse after the water clears.
How quickly will the water improve?
Most pools show noticeable clarity improvement within 12–48 hours depending on starting phosphate levels.
Does the product cause staining?
No — lanthanum solutions do not stain plaster, vinyl, or fiberglass when applied as directed.
Local Stock, Route Planning & Maintenance Strategy
These answers support planning for local pickup or route stocking.
How can I check stock availability across nearby WPM locations?
Call any WPM store with the SKU and staff can compare inventory among multiple branches.
Should service professionals keep extra gallons on their trucks?
Yes — phosphate issues are common, and the gallon size offers enough product for multiple pools.
How often should maintenance doses be applied?
After reducing phosphate levels, the guideline is 1 oz per 5,000 gallons to maintain readings below 125 ppb.
