The Taylor Sulfuric Acid .12N Reagent (R-0009-A) is a 0.75 oz dropper bottle designed for use with Taylor test kits to accurately measure total alkalinity in pool and spa water. When used in conjunction with other reagents, it helps determine the amount of acid needed to adjust pH levels, ensuring optimal water balance and swimmer comfort. Proper storage between 36°F and 85°F (2°C–29°C) and away from direct sunlight preserves its effectiveness. Taylor formulates its reagents to remain effective for at least one year under appropriate storage conditions; therefore, regular replacement of reagents, ideally annually or at the start of a new testing season, is recommended to ensure accurate water chemistry readings.
